Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has commented on a new roadmap focused on scaling, privacy, and decentralization.
His update comes as analysts track Ethereum’s price holding above $4,300, with a possible move higher if resistance levels break.
Ethereum Team Pushes New Goals
Vitalik Buterin says the lean Ethereum team has made strong progress this year. He noted the group is focused on scaling, decentralization, and resilience.
These efforts are designed to prepare the network for growth over the long term.
Buterin explained that the team aims to align short-term and long-term plans. He expects many ideas to come together as scaling improvements reach key points.
This would mean users see upgrades working simultaneously rather than in separate phases.
He pointed to several goals for Ethereum’s future. Zero-knowledge proofs could play a role in reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
Per the update, privacy is expected to be built in by default and ultralight nodes could allow more people to take part without heavy devices.
He also highlighted self-custody as a core value. Buterin compares this progress to the way the internet adopted HTTPS.
He noted that just as secure websites became standard, Ethereum must make cryptographic verification standard. This would reduce the need to trust third parties.
The Ethereum team, kept small by design, is working to keep decisions simple and execution fast.
Notably, the roadmap suggests that multiple improvements may launch in step with each other. This may strengthen both security and user experience.

The Vitalik Buterin Vision for the Next Decade
Looking ahead, Vitalik Buterin sees Ethereum as a key layer for global finance. In his view, transactions may move to Ethereum as the main platform.
He expects people to hold their own assets rather than rely on central services.
Zero-knowledge technology may support both privacy and scale. It could allow the network to handle more activity while keeping transactions private.
Ultralight nodes may help spread access as devices with less power could run them, opening the door for broader use.
Privacy features may also become built in, so users would not need extra steps.
He also spotlighted verification, which may rely on code and math rather than trust. This could help Ethereum serve as a reliable base for many kinds of applications in the push for more Wall Street integrations.
Vitalik Buterin stresses that systems based on “trust me” are becoming outdated. He believes Ethereum must lead in showing how verification can replace trust.
This would apply to finance and also to other areas where data security matters.
In his outline, the next decade is about making these ideas the norm. Ethereum would then be positioned not only for finance but also for wider digital use.
ETH Price Holds Above $4,400 Support
As of writing, CoinMarketCap data shows that Ethereum was trading at $4,300.27. The price is up 0.27% in 24 hours and 7.56% over the month.
Per the price outlook, its market value is $519.1 billion, with $19.84 billion in trading volume over 24 hours.
Analysts say ETH is closing in on $4,400, with resistance near $4,450 to $4,500.
A daily close above this range could open a move to $4,593 and $4,729. Some see a possible longer-term target of $6,000 if momentum builds.
On-chain data shows strong demand from exchange-traded funds and large holders. These trends suggest that interest remains solid even with current price swings.
Chart patterns also suggest a Wyckoff accumulation phase. This pattern often comes before a breakout when demand grows stronger than supply.
In addition, market data shows that Fibonacci levels support potential gains toward $6,000 to $6,750.
More importantly, analysts add that a clean retest of $4,400 may confirm support. This could set the stage for a stronger upward trend in the weeks ahead.
