In a major XRP news, Ripple Chairman Chris Larsen has invested in Yellow Network.
This project has just linked its Layer-3 system to the XRPL EVM Sidechain to enhance asset liquidity and improve blockchain connectivity.
Notably, the update adds to Ripple’s growing interest in blockchain development.
Ripple Chairman’s Backing of Yellow Network
In his recent post on X, Ripple Chairman Chris Larsen has confirmed his investment in Yellow Network.
The announcement followed Yellow’s revelation that it had connected its Layer-3 clearing system, Yellow Clearnet, to the XRPL EVM Sidechain.
This step aims to enhance the movement and trading of real-world assets across various blockchains.
Yellow Clearnet is a system that allows trades to happen off-chain between exchanges and brokerages.

According to the XRP news, it utilises state channels, allowing only the final results of trades to appear on the blockchain.
This helps to create a shared pool of liquidity that can handle higher volumes of transactions without slowing down the network.
The XRPL EVM Sidechain was developed by Peersyst, with support from Ripple and the XRPL community.
It connects directly to the XRP Ledger via the Axelar bridge, enabling XRP to move seamlessly between the two systems.
Notably, this connection also opens the door for interaction with more than 80 other blockchains, improving network compatibility.
Larsen’s backing of Yellow Network shows his continued interest in projects that expand the XRP ecosystem.
A member of the XRPL community known as Vet_X0 mentioned that the Alpha Network of Yellow is already running.
This suggests that the project has moved beyond the planning stage and is now testing how its system performs in real conditions.
Spike in BitGo Accounts Raises Questions
In another XRP news, other activities on the XRP Ledger also drew interest.
Analyst Vet_X0 pointed out that BitGo, a well-known digital asset custodian, had activated thousands of XRP accounts in recent days.
This increase was accompanied by noticeable spikes in AccountSet and MultiSig transactions.

The reason behind this rise has not been confirmed, but some believe it could be linked to new institutional plans involving XRP.
Additionally, the sudden surge in multisignature transactions may indicate a greater emphasis on security and shared account control.
These are often observed when companies or large holders prepare for major network operations or updates to their fund management.
Vet_X0 commented that the data should not be ignored. The analyst believes it could be an early sign of larger developments on the network.
For now, the community continues to monitor the pattern to see if it connects with upcoming projects or infrastructure changes on XRPL.
XRP News: Bithomp Improves Validator System for XRPL
In another update, blockchain explorer Bithomp announced an upgrade to its XRPL validator.
The company has operated its validator since 2016, helping to process and order transactions on the ledger.
Bithomp shared that it temporarily took the validator offline to install a new operating system and upgrade to version 2.6.1. The system is now back online and working normally.
The team said it expects the new setup to keep the validator running efficiently for years to come.
Notably, this upgrade is part of Bithomp’s long-term effort to keep its systems reliable as the XRPL network continues to grow.
The validator plays a crucial role in maintaining the ledger’s stability, which is essential for trust and performance across the XRP ecosystem.
Market participants believe that Chris Larsen’s investment in Yellow Network, BitGo’s account activity, and Bithomp’s system upgrade all show steady development within the XRP community.
Essentially, this XRP news points to growing confidence in the network’s future and its ability to handle wider blockchain connections.
