BitMine Stock: Ready for a Breakout Amid Transition From Dilution to Cash Flow

BitMine stock has jumped in recent sessions, rebounding from its year-to-date low of $12.98 to around $16.30. This rebound coincided with the cautious Ethereum rally that pushed it from the June low of $1,517 to a high of $1,893. This article explains why BMNR stock has more upside.

Ethereum Price is Showing Signs of Bottoming

BitMine Immersion, which is headed by Tom Lee, normally benefits when Ethereum is in an uptrend. While it is too early to predict, there are signs that ETH has bottomed, which may lead to higher prices in the near term.

For one, the US published an encouraging consumer inflation report, with the headline CPI falling by 0.4% in June. It also dropped from 4.2% to 3.8% on an annualized basis. The softer inflation report reduced market expectations for additional Federal Reserve tightening. However, future policy decisions remain dependent on incoming inflation, employment, and economic data.

American investors have also started to accumulate ETH this month. According to SoSoValue, U.S. spot Ethereum exchange-traded funds recorded $58 million in net inflows on Tuesday, extending July’s cumulative inflows to approximately $171 million.

The continued ETF inflows are a sign that Ethereum remains in an accumulation mode that may lead to higher prices.

Technically, the coin formed a double-bottom pattern at $1,517 and has now crossed the important resistance of $1,847, its highest level on June 15. It is also attempting to move above the 38.2% Fibonacci Retracement level. These technicals suggest that ETH may jump to $2,000 and above in the near term.

In its latest digital assets outlook, Standard Chartered’s head of digital assets research Geoff Kendrick reiterated a $100,000 Bitcoin price target.

A Bitcoin rebound would benefit BMNR stock because it would lead to higher Ethereum prices. Also, BitMine owns some Bitcoin in its balance sheet.

The strategy also carries risks. Ethereum prices remain volatile, staking yields fluctuate over time, and prolonged weakness in digital asset markets could reduce the value of BitMine’s treasury holdings. Investors are also monitoring execution risk as the company completes its Ethereum accumulation strategy.

From a Dilutor to a Cash Flow Machine

The other bullish case for BitMine stock is that it is about to transition from a company that has been diluting its investors into a free cash flow machine. According to BitMine’s latest treasury update, the company holds approximately 5.74 million ETH and continues building toward its long-term ownership target.

After completing that phase, the company will now evolve into a cash flow machine because of its staking business. During BitMine’s investor presentation outlining its Ethereum treasury strategy, Chairman Tom Lee said the company ultimately aims to return capital through share repurchases that could exceed $4 billion over time, subject to board approval and future cash generation.

This staking revenue will have higher margins as the company has fewer than 10 employees. As such, most of the staking revenue will translate into profit, which the company will be able to return to its shareholders.

According to Yahoo Finance analyst consensus estimates, BitMine’s revenue is expected to reach about $263 million this year before rising to roughly $450 million next year.

BMNR Stock Price Technical Analysis

Technical analysis points to more BitMine stock price jump. For one, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) has jumped from a low of 30 in June to the current 53. It has crossed the neutral level of 50 and is pointing upwards, a sign that it has momentum.

The stock has also jumped above the key resistance of $15.40, its lowest level in June this year. Therefore, the stock may continue rising as bulls target the initial resistance of $20. A move above that level will point to further gains in the near term.

A sustained move above $20 would strengthen the technical outlook. Conversely, failure to hold above $15.40 could shift attention back toward recent support as investors await additional company updates and broader Ethereum market direction.
