  • Lido DAO (LDO) price has dropped 21% in the past four days, erasing gains from September’s bullish rally.
  • Bitcoin’s price fell below $62,000. This happened as the geopolitical tensions between Iran and Israel have amplified pessimism in the crypto market.

Lido DAO (LDO) price has suffered a sharp 21% drop in the past four days. This dip has erased much of its gains during September’s bullish rally. The intense bearish momentum has driven its price down to key support levels, breaking effortlessly below the 20-day and 50-day EMAs.

The intraday bearish pressure in LDO price has garnered even more attention, with a significant 14% fall, pushing its value below the $1.156 mark. The global woes fueled the pessimism, and Bitcoin (BTC) fell below $62,000 in the past day.

Why Including LDO Price & Major Crypto Market Is In The Red Sea?

Over the past 48-72 hours, two major developments have rattled traditional and crypto markets.

The first development is the statement of Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. Powell stated in a video conference that the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) is not rushing to lower interest rates. This statement has shifted trader expectations significantly.

Prior to his remarks, markets were anticipating more substantial cuts. However, Jerome Powell’s cautious stance has sparked concerns over increasing volatility.

The second shock came within the last 24 hours, as the Iran-Israel conflict escalated dramatically. A barrage of nearly 200 ballistic missiles fired by Iran at Israel sent global markets into a tailspin.

This ignited widespread fears of an escalating geopolitical crisis. While U.S. naval forces successfully intercepted most of the missiles, a few strikes landed, intensifying tensions.

As a result, major U.S. stock indices ended the day deep in negative territory. The uncertainty isn’t limited to traditional stocks, though these developments have also hit the crypto market hard.

Both factors have severely impacted market sentiment. This has been fueling volatility across equity and digital assets. The pressure on digital assets, including Bitcoin and altcoins, remains intense as markets navigate these uncertain events.

Lido DAO Faces Growing Bearish Sentiment

Lido DAO is struggling with a wave of pessimism as recent market data reveals a sharp shift in sentiment.

Throughout September, the platform’s TVL steadily rose from $22 Billion to $26 Billion by the month’s end. This signaled a revival of bullish momentum.

However, the past 48 hours have seen a significant sell-off. It wiped out the optimism from the digital asset space, including BTC and other altcoins, like LDO crypto.

This sudden downturn has led to a surge in transaction activity. It pointed to substantial selling pressure and diminishing demand.

Lido’s TVL has plunged from its $26 Billion peak to $24.41 Billion, reflecting the bearish mood across the market. The transaction volume skyrocketed, with 17.23 million LDO tokens transferred. This has showed an alarming rise from the 2.92 million LDO recorded just a week ago.

This sharp increase in selling confirmed the bearish outlook. It happened as the number of transactions jumped from 297 to 616 in just seven days.

High-value transactions exceeding $100,000 totaled $37.6 million over the past week. This further underscored the rapid sell-off.

LDO price, which saw strong growth in Q1 2024, has since after been stuck in a downward wedge. It reflected mounting pessimism.

Financial data paints a bleak picture: only 12.46% of holders are at break-even. At the same time, 87.5% of addresses are deep in the red, showing significant losses.

Out of all holders, only 18 addresses, just 0.04% are in profit. This highlighted the overall bearish sentiment surrounding Lido DAO.

The combination of plummeting TVL, rising transaction volumes, and widespread losses signal a challenging road ahead for the LDO price. This could happen as the project faces growing uncertainty and bearish pressure in the current market environment.

A Glance AT LDO Price To Assess The Next Move Ahead?

LDO crypto witnessed an impressive surge of nearly 175% at the start of Q1 2024, pushing its price toward the $4.00 mark. However, the rally was short-lived as bears, armed with heavy sell orders, quickly gained control. This drove the price down from the supply zone’s peak.

Despite several attempts to hold onto gains, investor confidence remained shaken, leading to continuous sell-offs. The unrelenting bearish pressure, has contributed to the token’s lackluster performance in recent months.

Various market events have fueled broader negative sentiment over the past 48-72 hours. As a result, Lido DAO’s price continued to decline. It deflected from the upper edge of a wedge formation before heading towards a key demand zone.

At the time of writing, LDO price was trading at $1.156, approaching critical support levels. If the price continues to fall, the $1.00 level is the next major support to watch.

On the flip side, a market revival would require LDO crypto to break above $1.50 and $1.75 to signal a potential change in trend. For now, the outlook remains cautious as Lido DAO faces ongoing pressure from bearish market forces.
