Bitcoin’s volatility intensified on Tuesday, with the crypto experiencing significant price swings within hours. It initially surged from $82,400 to $85,500 before reversing course and dropping sharply to $81,200 in a flash crash on Bitstamp.
This decline was brief, as Bitcoin rebounded strongly later that evening amid reports of potential political shifts involving President Donald Trump and Elon Musk. It even tested an upward resistance to trade at more than $88,500 before being dragged down by tariffs imposed by the United States on many nations, and falling to below $82,000.
Bitcoin Strong Support Zone Identified
In the midst of these oscillations, CryptoQuant analyzed an attractive support level for Bitcoin, ranging from $65K to $71K. The Active Realized Price, which excludes long-dormant coins and focuses on recent market activity, stands at approximately $71,000. Meanwhile, the True Market Mean Price, offering a broader market valuation, indicates that $65,000 is a key level of support.

Thus, by defining the range between the Active Realized Price and the True Market Mean Price, analysts expect a significant demand in this area if Bitcoin continues to decrease.
According to CryptoQuant, strong hands are likely accumulating Bitcoin within this range, even as weak hands continue selling. This pattern suggests that institutional and long-term investors are capitalizing on the price drops.
Public Companies Add Bitcoin
It is important to note that public companies purchased 91,781 BTC in the first quarter of the year 2025, while the price of Bitcoin reduced from $94,400 to $82,500. Analyzing CryptoQuant data, Tether has added up more to its holdings in Q1 2025, buying as much as 8,888 BTC, totaling 92,646 BTC. MicroStrategy bought 81,785 BTC, worth over $8.0 billion.

Other entities also bought more of Bitcoin, particularly those that speculate that holding Bitcoin as a reserve asset could pay off. The Bitcoin acquired by these companies as follows: The Blockchain Company acquired 605 BTC, Semler Scientific purchased 1,108 BTC and Metaplanet bought 2,285 BTC.
Furthermore, Marathon Digital Holding stated that it would sell $2bn in stocks to finance Bitcoin purchases while GameStop discussed a $1.3bn convert bond sale to start a Bitcoin plan.
However, Bitcoin’s price turbulence took place in coincidence with long-term holders selling 178,000 BTC in Q1 2025. Furthermore, selling from Bitcoin ETFs hit $4.8 billion which contributed to the selling pressure and the price drop.
Analysts Observe Market Trends and Buying Pressure
The speculations have continued to surface, especially with the changes in the price of the crypto. Analyst Jelle indicated that Bitcoin is holding for a higher low following President Trump’s tariff announcements. According to Jelle, Bitcoin is expected to reclaim $84,000, with a primary objective of reaching $90,000.
Meanwhile, another analyst presented a Bitcoin Taker Buy/Sell Ratio metric from Bybit, analyzing aggressive market orders.

The ratio remained low and fluctuating before spiking to 5.30 at 10:00 UTC, indicating a sudden dominance of aggressive buying activity. The analyst suggested that this sharp rise in buying pressure may signal an upcoming market shift.
Also, in IntoTheBlock’s Large Holders’ Inflow chart, Sharp surges were observed in Bitcoin’s accumulation metrics. The daily change in 7 days increased by 8,445.62%, the 30-day by 864.27% and the 90-day by 205.53%. According to these metrics, it is evident that major investors are constantly buying Bitcoin despite the volatility in the market.
