In the past 34 days, Solana (SOL) price has rallied strongly by 64%, after previously falling by 60% from its high in January. As the top crypto rises, traders are looking for a massive jump, targeting the $262 mark. According to technical patterns, further gains could be awaiting if SOL sustains the upward momentum.
Solana Price Tests Key Fibonacci Level at $183
Following a drop to $105 in early April, Solana price rebounded to $172, regaining almost 60% of its previous peak of $262 seen in mid-January. Recently, the price formed a rounding bottom, an indicator that the overall trend might be changing. The price movement is easily noticed through a U-shaped recovery, and it recently reached the 50% Fibonacci retracement at $183.

Consequently, this level represents the midpoint of SOL’s January-to-April decline and is a crucial resistance point. Crossing this line would indicate a successful rounding bottom breakout, possibly guiding Solana to a 52% rally to $262. A failure to break above it may result in a short-term decline.
In addition, several indicators are signaling a potential uptrend for Solana. After a dip below its 14-day SMA, the RSI is now rising, suggesting renewed buying interest. Furthermore, the 50-day and 100-day exponential moving averages (EMAs) are on the verge of crossing over—a common buy signal for momentum traders.
Analyst Sees Potential Parabolic Rally Above $200
Ali Martinez, a crypto analyst, spotted a cup and handle pattern on Solana weekly chart, which is often a sign of a coming bullish trend. Martinez stated that the pattern showed as a descending short-term channel, and resistance is building up at around $200. Crossing above this key resistance level can lead to a sharp price increase.

Should Solana price confirm a breakout past $200, it could rise toward its previous high of $262. However, if this level is not cleared, there could be an increase in selling, with the price falling back near the 200-day EMA around $150.
Futures Market Data Shows Strong Bullish Sentiment
Additionally, the interest in Solana futures has further bolstered its positive outlook. SOL now has $6.83 billion in open interest, and traders remain optimistic. Trading volume for Solana futures has risen, indicating more investors are active.

According to Coinglass, there is a positive funding rate of 0.0023% for Solana’s perpetual contracts, an indication that most traders are taking long positions. Since long positions made up 70.45% on Binance, this suggests the market is strongly bullish, supporting a lasting price rise.
A positive funding rate reflects that traders want to keep their long trades, meaning the market is bullish. Therefore, Solana price might reach its target level soon.
Meanwhile, a recent report from PumpFun Whales Call stated that if Solana price breaks the $178 level, it could surge by 900%. Nevertheless, the analyst pointed out that if the price falls below $145, it could drop as low as $128. Despite a two-thirds decrease in activity on the network, the altcoin is doing well and has made $7.9 million in daily revenue—outpacing the combined earnings of Ethereum and Bitcoin.
At the time of writing, Solana price was $172, having increased by 1% over the last day. The altcoin managed to bounce back from $169, approaching resistance at $174. Overcoming $174 would likely see it reach $178, while a decline to $170 could lead to a further drop toward $165.
