Highlights:
- Aptos DEX volume reached a new all-time high of $132M, showing strong activity.
- Price hovers near $6.00 with key liquidation clusters creating short-term pressure points.
- Stablecoin supply on Aptos has grown from $430M to $1.13B since January, boosting liquidity.
According to Coingecko, Aptos (APT) saw a price range of $5.54 to $5.97 over the last 24 hours and was trading at $5.58 at the time of writing, dropping by 2.5% in the same period.
This week, the token fluctuated between $4.89 and $5.96, which points to increased short-term volatility. The price is still over 70% below its highest point of $19.92, set in January 2023.
As network activity increases, the Aptos blockchain has seen more DEX trading and a growth in the amount of stablecoins available. The growing interest and activity from users have made the token a more active member of the Layer 1 community.
Aptos DEX Activity Surges with Record Volume and Liquidity Growth
Meanwhile, the Dex ecosystem on Aptos is quickly growing. On May 23, 2025, the daily trading volume on Dex platforms hit a new record of $132.16 million, according to DeFiLlama.
The total volume for the week ended at $700.38 million. Aptos is witnessing the most activity because of increased trading and better liquidity.

At the same time, the amount of stablecoins on Aptos has increased a lot. According to Token Terminal, the issuance of stablecoins increased from around $430 million in early January to more than $1.13 billion by late May.

USDT and USDC are both available directly on the Aptos network. An increase in stablecoin liquidity helps build a bigger trading environment, making it easier for traders on decentralized platforms to avoid big losses.
Consequently, when the market is confident, there is often an increase in volume and stablecoins. Which makes it possible for more people to lend, borrow and trade, giving Aptos a chance to compete with the big Layer 1 platforms in DeFi.
High-Leverage Liquidation Zones Tighten Price Range Near $6
Coinglass’ APT Exchange Liquidation Map suggests that the current price is close to several important liquidation points.
A rise in the token above $6.00 could cause many short positions to be closed which might lead to a short squeeze. As a result, the price could increase quickly within a short period.

On the other side, if APT falls below $5.30, many long positions may be liquidated. This could lead to more selling, which might challenge the recent support levels.
The map also reveals that Binance and OKX are where most open interest is located, meaning they have many leveraged positions that may make any sudden move even bigger.
Fibonacci Targets Point to Potential Reversal if Support Holds
Currently, the APT/USDT weekly chart indicates possible rebound targets. The first major level is at $11.00 which matches the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement zone.
A rise above that point could pave the way for $15.34 which was a previous high. In addition, the chart is indicating a future target at $22.38 which is the 1.618 Fibonacci extension.

If Aptos wants to reach these levels, it needs to maintain support above $5.50 and break out clearly above the $6.00 resistance.
Should this setup occur, the trend may pick up and give the price more space to rise. As a result, price stability at the lower boundary is still an important technical requirement.
At the same time, more activity is taking place directly on the blockchain. Increasing DEX trading volumes and a rise in stablecoin supply point to greater involvement and more liquidity. Such trends help the technical picture and allow for a bigger price change.
Even though APT is trading at 72% below its highest point, the price is close to critical levels, it may soon create challenges for both support and resistance levels.
