Key Insights:
- Pi Coin remains in the top 30 by market cap but trades with low liquidity on just five exchanges.
- A real altseason could trigger a major Pi rally if Bitcoin breaks ATH and Ethereum gains momentum.
- Spot ETF approvals for altcoins could ignite a major rally, boosting Pi Network’s breakout potential.
A top analyst presented the necessarry market conditions in which the Pi Coin is expected to advance to the next stage of a rally. A combination of macro and token-specific conditions has to be in place so that Pi Coin price can maintain a notable bullish trend.
Pi Coin Holds Faces Liquidity Challenges
Notably, Pi Coin is currently ranked within the top 30 cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. Analyst DAO World noted that despite this position, the token is experiencing relatively low liquidity, trading on only five known exchanges. Its trading volume is modest, and market depth is limited compared to other digital assets in similar market cap brackets.
Such limited liquidity reduces the token’s ability to sustain high-volume buy or sell orders without significant price volatility. Although this type of situation might hinder the ability to achieve intraday stability, it also fosters a situation in which Pi Coin price is subject to a notable surge once demand resumes.
In addition, the analyst noted that low exchange availability, when paired with renewed interest, could result in rapid price movement. This may be either from market makers or coordinated large-scale buyers.
Altcoin Season Needed to Trigger Pi Coin Price Rally
According to the analyst, Pi coin price performance is unlikely to decouple from the broader altcoin market. Historically, altcoins start pumping once Bitcoin price gets a new ATH. Such a trend usually results in Ethereum price rallying, and hence the rotation of capital into smaller market cap coins such as Pi coin.

Bitcoin price is currently facing strong resistance as it attempts to break above the $108,000 level. Chart data showed multiple rejections at key resistance zones, with retail interest in Bitcoin also declining, as reflected in Google Trends search data.
Additionally, the analyst indicated that this pattern often precedes a breakout, especially when spot inflows are increasing. Once Bitcoin clears these hurdles, Ethereum could regain upward momentum, and altcoins may follow with stronger performance across the board.
ETF Approval Could Catalyze Altcoin Breakouts
More so, analyst DAO World also pointed to the prospect that altcoins will soon have spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) approved. Regulatory developments in this sector already have the effect of increasing inflows to established digital assets. Should altcoin ETFs be approved in major markets, then this would open up new institutional exposure, and thus inflows of several tokens such as Pi Coin.
Moreover, risk appetite resurgence of digital markets and a lower interest rate policy can further sustain this trend. Along with ETF-based inflows, such a scenario may put Pi Coin in the spotlight. Particularly, amongst investors looking to exploit low-liquidity assets with a high degree of network involvement.
Pi Network’s Ecosystem Still Requires Maturity
Beyond macro conditions, another analyst, Dr. Altcoin, noted that Pi Network must meet certain internal benchmarks before sustaining long-term value growth. The analyst identified utility, stability, and user adoption as critical components.

Although Pi has amassed over 70 million users, many of these accounts have not completed the required migration process. Additionally, a large portion of tokens remain locked.
Pi Coin price needs to reach stability to be useful as a medium of exchange in its ecosystem. The analyst indicated that universal adoption as a means of daily transactions relies on the same reliability as that of fiat currencies. Otherwise, adoption in the practical business world will not expand.
Furthermore, the projected Pi coin price must align with user expectations. The analyst estimates that for Pi to circulate efficiently within the ecosystem, its price may need to exceed $10.
Consequently, this valuation would support smaller daily transaction volumes for the average holder, many of whom reportedly hold 1,000 Pi or less. Until these conditions are met, utility, stability, and scalable value, Pi’s role as a transactional currency may remain delayed.
