Key Insights:
- Whale borrowed $10M USDT to buy 3,983 ETH on Aave.
- Ethereum consolidates near $2.5K, waiting for a breakout above.
- Technical analysis points to a potential move towards $3K.
Ethereum price is again fluctuating amid an increased subscription among institutional investors. A whale wallet, 0x9992, recently borrowed 10 million USDT ($10 Million) in the decentralized lending service Aave. It then used the funds to purchase 3,983 ETH at an average price of 2,510.64 per ETH.
This signifies greater assurance for big investors, even with Ethereum stuck at $2.5K. The whale move comes just three days after a major shift in accumulation. Wallets holding between 1,000 and 100,000 ETH reportedly added 1.49 million ETH over the past 30 days.

This deal was made when the Ethereum price was traded at 2,510.64 US dollars. This price tag indicates that the market is consolidating. The whale used Aave to exploit the liquidity and buy a sizeable portion of ETH.
This interesting step emphasizes the increasing relevance of institutional investors and other giant actors in the Ethereum community. The current health rate is 1.83 on Aave.
The current rate suggests the whale isn’t immediately at risk. However, even a slight drop in Ethereum price could pose a liquidation threat. The whale has taken out a significant loan.
This was done despite the market’s uncertainty. It shows they’re expecting ETH to rebound. A price recovery would help ensure their position stays profitable and secure.
Ethereum Price Shows Consolidation Around $2,500
The current cost of Ethereum has been mainly at a standstill around the figure of $2.5K. In the last 24 hours, the price has increased by just 1.2%.
This means that those in the market do not know the direction the asset cost will take in the short term. Ethereum has been highly volatile since it traded above $4,000 late last year. It has since plunged to its current price.

Based on the chart, the Ethereum price between $2,400 and $2,600 has become both support and resistance. The fact that there was no significant upward or downward movement means that Ethereum is in an indecision period.
The rise in whale activity and steady ETH accumulation suggest that investors are positioning themselves. They’re preparing for a potential price breakout.
Technical Outlook Shows the Ethereum Price Could go to $3K
Ethereum price is now trading in a relatively small range. It is currently being supported at the $2,420 level, as seen in the recent 4-hour chart.
This range has played a critical role in determining the direction of ETH. It could signal either a continued uptrend or a shift into bearish territory.

We also noticed the creation of a descending trendline in the chart. Despite massive ETF inflows this week, it has restricted the Ethereum price.
Should ETH manage to breach this trend line, it would mark a change in direction. This could lead the price to valuations that have yet to be attained.
Also, based on the 4-hour chart, the price of Ethereum has been consolidating above the support line. This indicates that the market is waiting to be triggered to either drive the price downwards or upwards.
As stated in the exchange inflow chart, we also see a recent spike in Ethereum’s exchange inflows. This adds more weight to the likelihood of the price recovery.
The inflows in terms of exchange are getting strong. Also, it has been proven that traders are becoming more curious about selling Ethereum positions.

This could push the token back above $3,000. It is a move that could make it to greater heights, possibly at $6,000 as analysts predict.
The recent liquidity surge suggests that large holders may be preparing to take profits. This could happen if the Ethereum price breaks above the next resistance at $2,600.
