Key Insights:
- Cardano price prediction holds as ADA trades above key EMAs despite 2.14% drop
- ADA faces community tensions after Whale criticizes IOG leadership and funding
- Cardano surpasses 1,400 DReps as network development and Leios upgrade progress steadily
Cardano faces short-term pressure following a recent 58% price rally and subsequent pullback. The price of ADA has dropped as it is facing an increasing governance controversy with Input Output Global and founder Charles Hoskinson.
The mood in the market is still cautious as the internal tensions start to affect the trading patterns.
Despite the retracement, Cardano is solid in its fundamentals, the notable support areas have not been broken, and the current development activity is continuing.
ADA Price Pulls Back After Sharp Rally
Cardano price recently dropped after surging from $0.58 to $0.94 within just 20 days. This was a retracement as the market volume slowed and traders profited after a parabolic move.
Although the price has dropped, technical charts indicate that ADA remains above important exponential moving averages.

ADA is trading slightly above the 20-day average on the daily chart following a fall below the upper Bollinger Band. The 50-day and 100-day EMAs are above the 200-day EMA, indicating a bullish crossover.
Nevertheless, further downside pressure may be experienced in the case of a sustained break below $0.78.
As per writing, Cardano was trading near $0.8137 with a 2.14% decline in the past 24 hours. The volume declined by 38.2% with a decrease in activity.
Whale vs Hoskinson: Governance Rift Emerges
Cardano’s governance dispute has taken center stage just as ADA consolidates. Whale, one of the largest ADA owners, criticized IOG for mismanaging money and not delivering on its promises.
Whale, which controls 6 million ADA voting power, encouraged people to reject all IOG proposals.
This triggered immediate backlash and split the Cardano community. Charles Hoskinson, the co-founder of Cardano, replied to this, stating that there is no neglect, and scaling work is underway. He also rebelled against the rumors of legal action, terming them as fake news.
Cardano Rep and other major holders took a more neutral position, urging balance and patience. There were community members who supported Whale based on its slow development.
Network Developments Signal Progress Despite Disruption
Cardano is still developing technologically and structurally despite the governance drama. Input Output reports that the Cardano ecosystem has more than 1,400 registered DReps.
Out of them, 983 people are actively representing the network and being involved in the most important decisions.

The weekly development report confirms Node v.10.5.1 and Lace v.1.25 have been released. Cardano Governance also reached a new milestone by completing voting on 39 treasury withdrawals.
The Leios upgrade, planned for 2026, also promises to improve Cardano’s transaction speed, scalability, and DApp support. It is expected to shift the network to the next level of 250 transactions per second.
This will allow the developers to bridge the gap with more rapid networks such as Solana.
However, scaling delays have led to criticism that Cardano lags behind in DeFi adoption. The total value locked (TVL) is low relative to peers, which is a worry. Nonetheless, advocates view long-term improvements as the basis of future development.
Grayscale Ranks Cardano Among Top Performers
Grayscale Investments ranked Cardano as the 7th-best performing asset in its latest Crypto Snapshot. ADA had a -2.5% weekly performance but maintains a good market position.
The asset has a market cap of 28.2 billion, which puts it above competitors such as Stellar and TRON.

The weekly ranking shows the previous rally of ADA, and the coin remains stable in the correction stages.
Binance Coin and Ethereum are other leading weekly performers with 6.8% and 6.5%, respectively. In the meantime, Dogecoin was also strong, with the rest of the market being cautious.
Although ADA declined this week, year-to-date indicators show that long-term growth is still positive. Grayscale’s data suggests that Cardano continues to attract attention from institutional and retail investors alike.
