SOL, the native cryptocurrency of the Solana blockchain, remains on investors’ radar following 27% rally on the monthly chart. The SOL price is gearing for a breakout past $210, with daily trading volumes soaring to $7 billion. Furthermore, the demand for Solana Treasury among publicly listed firms continues to rise, which could catalyze further rallying.
Solana Price Eyes Major Breakout Ahead
SOL price has been consolidating for a while in the range between $200-$209 as bulls prepare for a major breakout ahead in the making. Analysts noted that any possible dip in Solana would be a buying opportunity for investors.
Popular crypto analyst Altcoin Sherpa noted that SOL price has struggled to break past the $205 strong resistance on a multi-year timeframe. While he expects SOL to trade higher over the next one to two months, the exact timing remains uncertain.
Altcoin Sherpa also pointed out that crypto treasury firms have recently continued to accumulate Solana. Sharing his personal strategy, the analyst stated that he would continue accumulating SOL in the $200–$180 range if prices dip.

As reported earlier, $215 remains a crucial resistance for SOL price on the upside. Crossing this could set the stage for a strong rally all the way to $300.

Crypto analyst Crypto Patel expressed bullish sentiment on Solana (SOL), stating that the token still has significant upside potential. He projected that SOL could rise from $500 to $1,000, describing such gains as “only a matter of time.” Patel also emphasized that market dips should be viewed as opportunities, not fear signals.
Key Developments in Solana Price Ecosystem
Solana is set to implement the Alpenglow consensus protocol following a two-week governance process. The results, released earlier this week, show that over 98% of participating validators approved the upgrade, with a 52% stake casting votes.
The Alpenglow upgrade is expected to reduce transaction finality from more than 12 seconds to just 150 milliseconds, marking a major overhaul for the Solana ecosystem. Speaking on the development, the Solana Foundation said:
As part of the Alpenglow upgrade, its key components, such as the Rotor and Voter, will replace Solana’s TowerBFT and proof-of-history systems. Votor is designed to reduce transaction finality dramatically. Similarly, Rotor will streamline data transfers between validators by replacing the existing proof-of-history timestamping mechanism.
DeFi Development Corp. To Push SOL Price Higher With 2 Million Holdings
The demand for Solana as a treasury asset is rising fast. Earlier today, Nasdaq-listed DeFi Development Corp. (Nasdaq: DFDV) announced that it has acquired 196,141 SOL at an average price of $202.76 per token, increasing its total Solana holdings to 2,027,817 SOL, valued at approximately $427 million. With 25,573,702 shares outstanding, this translates to roughly 0.0793 SOL (≈$16.70) per share.
