- SOL price declined on the daily chart, but increased attention from firms and possible ETF approval raises hope.
Solana (SOL) has outperformed the XRP and SUI cryptocurrencies in weekly inflows. The surging inflows into Solana coincided with increased institutional interest in the digital asset.
Helius Medical Technologies (HSDT) has disclosed plans to create a Solana-focused treasury company. This increased adoption of SOL could spark a bullish trend for digital assets soon.
Solana, XRP, and SUI in Current Crypto Market Inflow Trends
CoinShares Head of Research James Butterfill highlighted that the digital asset products saw $3.3 billion inflows over the past week.
The inflows indicate renewed investor interest amid a weaker-than-expected US macroeconomic data. Price gains in digital assets pushed the total assets under management (AuM) to $239 billion. This figure is close to the all-time high of $244 billion from early August.
Bitcoin (BTC) experienced a strong rebound in investor sentiment, attracting $2.4 billion in inflows, the highest weekly total since July. In contrast, short-Bitcoin products saw modest outflows, reducing their AuM to $86 million.
Ethereum (ETH), the second-largest crypto by market cap, followed behind Bitcoin, with inflows of $645.9 million. This marks a shift to positive sentiment after eight consecutive days of outflows.
Solana also performed strongly, recording weekly inflows of $198.4 million. Meanwhile, Solana recorded its largest-ever single-day inflow of $145 million on Friday, September 12, contributing to the weekly surge.
Solana surpassed XRP and SUI, which saw total weekly inflows of $32.5 million and $14 million, respectively.

On the other hand, Aave and Avalanche experienced small outflows of $1.08 million and $0.66 million.
Regionally, the US led with $3.2 billion in inflows, showing strong investor confidence. Germany held the second position with $160 million in inflows.
Helius Pivoting to SOL Treasury Creation
Helius Medical Technologies, Inc. (HSDT), a neurotechnology company, has announced a dramatic strategic pivot.
The firm disclosed in a press release the pricing of an oversubscribed private investment in public equity (PIPE) offering, raising over $500 million. Helius said it would use these funds to create a Solana-focused treasury reserve.
This move would position SOL as the company’s primary reserve asset, drawing parallels to MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin treasury strategy.
Pantera Capital and Summer Capital led the financing, with participation from other investors including Animoca Brands, FalconX, and HashKey Capital.
Helius is joining the latest wave of firms that are creating Solana treasuries. On Thursday, September 10, Forward Industries (FORD) closed a $1.65 billion PIPE deal to build its SOL treasury.
Alongside this deal, Solana treasury firm, SOL Strategy, debuted on Nasdaq under the ticker STKE.
So far, more than thirteen publicly traded companies have adopted Solana as their treasury strategy. The firms hold combined assets of 8.91 million SOL, valued at about $1.80 billion.
Solana Price Outlook
Following the Helius SOL treasury announcement, shares of the firm surged over 200% above $24 in pre-market trading.
However, SOL price has plunged 4.3% over the past 24 hours. At press time, SOL is priced at $234.7, with a market cap of $127.4 billion. Notably, SOL reached a daily high of $236.24 before dropping to the current levels.
In addition, market activity for Solana continued to increase, as indicated by the rising trading volume. In the past day, trading volume jumped 31.5% to $10.75 billion.
Analysts earlier forecasted price targets as high as $600 for SOL this year, based on positive technical indicators.
Others also claim the eventual approval of spot Solana ETFs this year would fuel price breakouts.
The U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is expected to approve spot SOL ETFs on October 16, 2025.
