Ethereum price is consolidating around the $4,000 area, with analysts expecting a long-term upside. Recent technical patterns indicate strength, despite short-term volatility. However, several signals suggest that the ETH price may take some time to reach $10,000.
Ethereum Price Targets $10,000
Analyst Ali suggested that the Ethereum price may eventually reach the $10,000 mark. His chart showed the price is forming a long-term ascending pattern from the 2022 lows.
According to Ali, the ETH price structure follows historical accumulation zones that preceded major expansions. The projected move, however, could occur gradually through 2026 before accelerating sharply.

His analysis also warns traders to prepare for long consolidations before the breakout phase. The long-term support trendline remains intact, supporting Ethereum’s underlying bullish structure.
Moreover, Ali pointed out that Ethereum’s larger market cycles are typically characterized by slow but steady recoveries before explosive upswings. This observation was also consistent with the previous price trend observed in 2019 and 2021.
Trendline Support and MACD Signal Potential Upside
Meanwhile, analyst Lark Davis noted that the Ethereum price had been holding its trendline support quite well. He stated that the $3,850-$3,900 range continues to attract strong buying interest.

According to Davis, the daily chart illustrated the key resistances at the EMA 50 and the swing high at around $4,737. If the ETH price stays above these levels, this can be considered confirmation for a bullish continuation.
Importantly, the MACD indicator is generating a potential cross-up, often a precursor to renewed higher momentum. If confirmed, this technical structure can be used to test for higher resistance zones.
Additionally, Davis pointed out that as long as ETH remains above the ascending support line, the price action remains constructive. He believed that a clean break above $4,140 would unleash further optimism across altcoins.
Ethereum Price Market Outlook: Focus on $5,000 Resistance
Technical insights provided by CryptoWzrd strengthen Ethereum’s current bullish position. The analyst observed that the daily ETH/USDT candle structure is resilient despite the intraday volatility.
The analysis identified $4,140 as the next significant resistance level, followed by $5,000. That’s a psychological threshold that may trigger “FOMO” buying pressure. On the negative side, firm support at the $3,550 zone.

CryptoWzrd noted that both ETH and ETH/BTC pairs have recently closed in the green, indicating stability. Yet, he emphasized the importance of a breakout occurring above the trendline to maintain the bullish momentum.
The analysis concludes that sustained trading at or above $4,000 could form an impulsive move towards $5,800. This would be a potential transition from consolidation to acceleration in the Ethereum price structure.
ETH/BTC Strength Signals Altcoin Outperformance
Adding to the bullish case, analyst Javon Marks highlighted Ethereum’s strength compared to Bitcoin. He reported that the ETH/BTC pair could see another 140% gains, similar to past performance.
According to Marks, a similar move earlier this year resulted in a 145% surge in ETH/BTC. This pushed the ETH price up by more than 3.5x. The analyst is now looking for another similar rally that could take prices above $8,000.

His projection suggested that Ethereum could outperform Bitcoin in future market cycles. This may potentially lead to broader growth among altcoins. This correlation tends to signal periods of capital rotation from Bitcoin dominance to high-cap altcoins.
Furthermore, Marks pointed to improving momentum and rising RSI readings on the ETH/BTC chart. This trend served to reinforce the possibility of strength persistence through 2026. This aligns with the long-term $10,000 narrative.
