Chainlink Readies for New Leg Upwards As Analyst Eyes 200% Rally in 2 Months

Keys Insights

  • Chainlink crypto was readying for a new leg upwards, but the price needed to break the horizontal level at $20 to become bullish again, with the first target at $30 in case of a breakout.
  • The trend was changing, the sentiment was changing, and that’s why Michael van de Poppe expects to see a rally of 150-200% against BTC in the coming 2-4 months.
  • Nasdaq-listed Streamex (STEX) and Layer-1 Pharos Network integrate Chainlink CCIP and Data Streams to tokenize gold and institutional assets.

Chainlink (LINK) is setting up for the next leg upward, according to CT analyst Michael van de Poppe, based on its valuation against Bitcoin (BTC). However, the valuation of the altcoin against the U.S. dollar was facing a key test at the $20 zone.

Institutions and individuals alike have adopted Chainlink’s technology, placing it ahead of other oracles. The oracle integrated tokenization of gold for a Nasdaq-listed firm and another Layer 1 (L1) blockchain.

Chainlink Crypto Price Analysis: LINK Eyes $30

In terms of dollar valuation, LINK was eyeing $30 as its next target, but it would depend on breaking above $20. This level was the midpoint of the range seen in Chainlink since the beginning of the year. However, the anticipated rally against BTC could help Chainlink’s price reach the $30 target.

Chainlink crypto was consolidating below $20 as its price traded down in a falling, widening wedge. The altcoin had been confined in this pattern since mid-August, when most altcoins hit quarterly highs, led by Ethereum (ETH).

Failure to overcome this resistance could result in LINK prices declining further, potentially reaching $16, a zone where most candles closed at. The perfect scenario would be breaching this level concurrent with a structural shift in LINK/BTC valuation.

Analyst Predicts Massive Rally in 2 Months for Chainlink Crypto Against Bitcoin

According to Michael van de Poppe, Chainlink crypto was preparing for the next leg upwards, which was expected to be in the region of 150% to 200%. The analyst noted that this rally could occur within the next two to four months. He noted that its trend was changing as well as its sentiment. This suggested that the rally could play out before the end of the year.

For this to happen, Chainlink crypto needed to hold above the zone at 0.00016 BTC as well as breach the 0.00020 BTC zone. If this happened, a LINK rally could begin at least around 0.00044 BTC, a zone that saw triple rejections.

However, the consistent strength in BTC this year, especially after institutional adoption, could hinder a 2021-like rally in altcoins. Additionally, historical patterns of the RSI indicator, which was neutral at the time of writing, showed that reversals in this pair occurred when the indicator dropped into oversold conditions. With that in mind, caution was needed when trading this pair.

With the valuation against BTC determining a potential LINK rally, the expansion into other blockchain technologies also supported this outlook. It showed Chainlink’s edge ahead of Bitcoin, especially since BTC was difficult to modify unlike most cryptos.

Nasdaq-listed Firm Integrates Tokenization of Gold in Chainlink CCIP

Chainlink has expanded its presence in DeFi through several key moves, most notably its partnership with Streamex (STEX) on the gold-backed stablecoin, GLDY.

The cooperation facilitated safe cross-chain interconnection and real-time verification of reserves. This enhanced transparency in asset-backed tokens and the development of the tokenization of real-world assets such as gold.

Furthermore, Chainlink improved the Arbitrum (ARB) derivative pricing through sub-second market data. Thus, competence would be achieved on trading platforms like Kyan Exchange.

As a result, the altcoin saw record outflows from exchanges. This confirmed an increase in institutional demand during the process of its CCIP and Data Streams integrations.

Altogether, Chainlink proved to be an important hub of interoperability between chains and the expansion of blockchain-based financial structures. Thus, a rally could unfold but was dependent on LINK/BTC valuation.
