Elon Musk’s comment about Polymarket has drawn attention from Polygon founder Sandeep Nailwal.
Their brief exchange comes as Polygon reported a record growth in stablecoin payments, transactions, and overall network activity.
Elon Musk Mentions Polymarket, Sandeep Nailwal Reacts
Elon Musk made a brief comment about Polymarket after a post claiming that Grokipedia would one day be larger and more accurate than Wikipedia.
He replied by asking what the Polymarket odds were on that claim. The post quickly spread across social media, catching the attention of the cryptocurrency community.
Sandeep Nailwal, the founder of Polygon, noticed Musk’s comment and replied. He asked if Musk was using Polymarket on Polygon.

He also reminded followers that Musk’s first NFT was created on Polygon in 2022. The mention created fresh interest in the link between Musk and the Polygon network.
Polymarket is a platform where people trade on outcomes of real-world events.
It runs on Polygon, which is built to handle transactions faster and at lower cost than the main Ethereum network.
Elon Musk’s mention of Polymarket indirectly brought Polygon back into focus and reminded many of its growing role in supporting blockchain-based tools and applications.
Stablecoin Payments Set a New Record on Polygon
Polygon’s network data shows a strong increase in stablecoin activity.
Reports from Token Relations reveal that daily stablecoin transfers reached 4.66 million, the highest level ever seen on Polygon.
USDC made up 2.33 million of those transfers, while USDT reached 644,000 and DAI hit 1.68 million.
Sandeep Nailwal shared this update, highlighting how the network is emerging as a key player in blockchain payments.
He said the volume of transfers shows how Polygon is being used more for payments and small daily transactions.
Micropayments accounted for over 4 million of the total transfers, indicating clear growth in everyday blockchain use.
It is worth noting that Polygon is also expanding through payment integrations.
DeCard, a payment company, has recently enabled instant USDC and USDT payments for over 150 million merchants using Polygon.

This allows users to turn stablecoins into spendable money by depositing them directly into DeCard accounts on the network. It is one of the largest stablecoin payment rollouts to date.
Polygon Shows Strong Growth Across Its Ecosystem
Polygon’s performance data shows steady network growth. Daily transactions reached 4.73 million, up 4.45% from the previous day.
The total value locked, which represents funds held in Polygon-based projects, stands at $1.32 billion, a rise of more than 13% in one week.
The stablecoin market cap on Polygon is now $3.12 billion, representing a 5.26% increase.
Moreover, daily stablecoin volume increased to $968.28 million, up by more than 16%. Meanwhile, decentralized exchange activity recorded $329.49 million in trading volume over 24 hours.
Polygon continues to serve as an Ethereum-compatible Layer-2 protocol that supports high transaction speeds and low fees.
It can handle up to 1,000 transactions per second, making it suitable for micropayments, enterprise applications, and decentralized finance projects.
Through Agglayer, Polygon connects with other blockchains to improve liquidity and cross-chain activity.
Elon Musk’s brief mention of Polymarket may have brought fresh visibility to a network already showing strong results.
Polygon’s increasing activity across payments, trading, and real-world use cases underscores its position as a key player in the blockchain industry.
With more stablecoin transactions, wider merchant use, and stronger liquidity connections, Polygon continues to show progress in building a practical and scalable blockchain network.
The recent interaction between Musk and Nailwal contributes to the broader narrative of how established tech leaders and blockchain builders are increasingly intersecting in today’s digital economy.
