BitMine Stock Jumps 4% as Crypto and Cash Holding Tops $13.2 Billion

BitMine Immersion Technologies stocks (BMNR) have surged more than 4% today, driven by the recovery of the broader cryptocurrency market.

The BMNR stock rally also followed reports that BitMine’s crypto and cash holdings topped $13.2 billion.

BitMine is a publicly traded company, with Fundstrat’s Tom Lee as its Chairman. The company initially operated Bitcoin mining facilities but has transitioned aggressively to building the world’s largest corporate Ethereum (ETH) treasury.

BitMine functions similarly to how Strategy holds Bitcoin (BTC) on its balance sheet. Thus, the price of BMNR stocks is heavily tied to the performance of Ethereum.

The value of ETH recently dropped below $3,300 from highs near $4,750, following massive crypto market liquidations.

This led to billions of dollars worth of unrealized losses for BitMine, sinking BMNR by over 70% from its highest level this year.

The stock dropped to a low of $40, down sharply from the year-to-date high of $160. With the ETH price now above $3,500, BMNR stock has resumed an uptrend, increasing by over 4% on the daily charts.

BitMine Reports of Crypto and Cash Holding of $13.2B

The latest BMNR stock price spike also follows reports of massive crypto and cash holdings.

The firm revealed it currently holds a total of 3,505,723 ETH on its balance sheet, valued at $3,639 per coin. This alone is worth about $12.75 billion.

BitMine also reported total Bitcoin holdings of 192 BTC, valued at roughly $20.1 million, at the current market price.

In addition to the BTC and ETH holdings, the company reported $398 million in unencumbered cash. Furthermore, BiMine revealed it held a $61 million stake in a public holding described as a “moonshot.”

In total, BitMine’s crypto and cash holdings amounted to $13.2 billion. This makes BitMine the number 1 corporate Ethereum holder globally and the second crypto treasury overall, just behind Strategy.

BitMine Targets 5% of ETH Total Supply

BitMine has continued to accumulate ETH since its pivot in June 2025. In October, the firm acquired an additional 104,336 ETH for $415 million during the Ethereum price dip.

The main goal of BitMine is to own 5% of all Ethereum supply. The company has reached 2.9% of this target, crossing past the halfway mark.

BitMine buys ETH aggressively during dips, often via OTC trades to avoid market impact, funded by capital raises, mining ops, and strong institutional backings.

Some of the top industry players supporting BitMine include ARK/Cathie Wood, Founders Fund, Pantera, Kraken, DCG, and Galaxy Digital.

Top Lee called the recent ETH dip an attractive opportunity, signaling opportunistic accumulation.

BitMine leads its crypto treasury peers by both the velocity of raising crypto NAV per share and the high trading liquidity of BMNR stock. The stock is extremely liquid, trading at $1.6 billion average daily dollar volume (5-day average).

BMNR ranks as the 48th most traded U.S. stock as of November 10, 2025. This makes it easy to trade but also amplifies volatility.

Essentially, the company leverages the ETH play. The stock price increases when ETH rallies and decreases when the price falls.
