Pi Network price dropped for a fifth consecutive day, reaching $0.08123. The level marked its lowest price since July 18.
PI had fallen over 70% from its March high near $0.2970. The decline continued despite Pi Network completing another test phase for its token launchpad.
The immediate Pi coin price outlook remained weak. However, the SLICE distribution showed further progress toward a possible Mainnet launchpad.
Pi Launchpad Hits Important Milestone
In an X post, Pi Network said that it made substantial progress in its launchpad process. The developers completed the distribution of its second testnet token known as SLICE.
Users can now access the Launchpad app in the Pi Browser to view individual allocations, the launch, and effective prices. They will also be able to access the SLICE liquidity pool and a chart tracking prices against the Test-Pi.

Pi’s team aims for its launchpad will be a platform where developers can launch utility tokens. Unlike other tokens launched on popular chains like Ethereum and Solana, these tokens will be tied to a certain utility.
This is a major development because it is happening as the developers continue executing their upgrades. They concluded the Protocol 25 upgrade recently.
These upgrades have made Pi a more stable network and introduced more features. One of the most important features happened in Protocol 22, as it introduced smart contracts to the chain.
Smart contracts are self-executing contracts stored on a blockchain. They are executed when predetermined terms and conditions are met, and help power popular decentralized applications (dApps) like those in the DeFi, real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, and non-fungible tokens (NFT).
In the future, developers will be able to build applications like Aave, Uniswap, Hyperliquid, and Jito on Pi Network. This, in turn, will increase the utility of the Pi token.
The development is also important as it will enable Pi’s developers as they launch their PiDEX. PiDEX is an upcoming product that will make it possible for people to trade Pi tokens.
Pi Coin Price Faces Major Challenges
Still, despite these developments, the Pi Network price faces substantial challenges that may impact its performance.
First, there are signs that demand has waned in the past few months. CoinMarketCap data shows that the token has a daily volume of less than $10 million. This is a tiny amount for a top 50 crypto project.
The falling volume is happening at a time when the network continues to unlock millions of tokens. Data shows that the network will unlock about 1.72 billion tokens in the next 12 months. At the current price, these tokens are now worth over $139 million. Token unlocks lead to more supply, which is risky, especially when demand is not there.
Pi Network is also at risk because there are signs that its top believers are no longer interested in it. Data shows that over 14 million people hold less than $1 worth of tokens, meaning that most of them have dumped them.
Pi Token Price Technical Analysis
The daily chart showed that Pi Network price had fallen sharply since March. PI declined from approximately $0.2970 to a July low near $0.071. CoinMarketCap recorded its lowest price at $0.07072 on July 14.
A recovery attempt later stalled near $0.1032 on July 19. Sellers then pushed Pi coin price back toward $0.081.

PI remained below its main moving averages and the Supertrend indicator. That structure showed that sellers retained control of the broader trend.
The Relative Strength Index also continued moving lower. However, the indicator had not confirmed that a further decline would occur.
The first important support sat near $0.0800. A daily close below that level could expose the July low between $0.0707 and $0.0713.
A confirmed break below the year-to-date low could shift attention toward $0.0600. The psychological $0.0500 level would remain a deeper downside target.
On the upside, Pi Network price must first reclaim $0.0900. Further resistance sits near $0.1032, where the latest recovery failed.
A move above $0.1032 would weaken the immediate bearish setup. It could expose the next resistance region near $0.1200.
The SLICE distribution strengthened Pi Network’s development outlook. It did not reverse PI’s bearish market structure.
Pi coin price remained vulnerable while trading below $0.1032. A break beneath $0.0707 would confirm another bearish leg.
