Key Insights:
- Cardano investors showed renewed interest, as indicated by the 69% volume spike.
- ADA overthrew Tron to become the 9th-largest crypto by market cap.
- Analysts predicted Cardano‘s price may hit a new cycle peak of $2.
Cardano (ADA), the 9th-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, is currently demonstrating bullishness. Cardano has seen its trading volume jump more than 69% over the past 24 hours.
Also, Cardano has flipped Tron (TRX) to the 10th position in cryptocurrency market rankings, sparking optimistic projections.
Cardano Price Outlook
According to CoinMarketCap data, ADA is currently hovering around $0.9353, demonstrating a 5.5% increase over the previous day.
The trading volume spiked by 69.5% to $2.12 billion within this period. This suggests that investors are bullish and anticipate a rally in the price of ADA.
Higher volume often means more participants are engaging with ADA. This can make it easier to buy and sell without drastically affecting the price, and it typically reflects growing confidence.
Volume spikes frequently correlate with price movements. In bullish scenarios, it can fuel upward trends, while it could indicate panic selling in bearish markets.
For Cardano, the 69.5% volume surge coincides with a growing interest among institutional investors.
For instance, Grayscale has disclosed plans to stake all ADA held in its Cardano ETF (GADA), pending regulatory approval. Upon approval, staking rewards flow directly into the fund, potentially boosting its value for investors.
Notably, Cardano holds 90% approval odds for a 2025 spot exchange-traded fund (ETF). The U.S Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is expected to give its approval decision on or before October 23, 2025.
Regulatory easing and rate cut expectations by the U.S Federal Reserve have also added to the bullish ADA sentiments.
Cardano News: ADA Flips TRON, Will it Be Permanent?
Amid the optimistic sentiments around Cardano, ADA has dethroned Tron, clinching ninth place in market rankings, with its market cap pegged at $33.7 billion.
TRX now occupies tenth place, with its market cap of $33.2 billion. The digital asset could remain in this position if recent ADA momentum remains.
However, this is a tight race as ADA and TRX have swapped positions multiple times in 2025.
Cardano’s latest flippening reinforces its position as a top proof-of-stake blockchain. It also suggests capital rotation from TRON toward the Cardano ecosystem, which emphasizes research-driven development, sustainability, and real-world application.
However, TRX has also demonstrated strength, with its price surging by 0.8% over the previous day. At the same time, TRX volumes increased moderately by 4.9% to $782.2 million.

Additionally, the Tron network continues to dominate in USDT stablecoin transfers. In August alone, Tron processed $687 billion in USDT transfer, capturing 57.7% of the total USDT transfer volume. This marks the highest monthly USDT stablecoin transfer volume ever recorded on Tron.
The sentiment has positively impacted Tron, triggering a rise in value and making it a tough ADA rival.
Cardano News: Can Cardano Price Hit the $2 Milestone?
Nevertheless, analysts have raised targets as high as $2 for Cardano price, representing over 100% gains from the current level. This projection stems from technical analysis and improved on-chain data.

ADA has broken above its descending channel, closing at $0.926, hinting at price breakout ahead. Breaking the $1 psychological level could see ADA targeting between $1.5 and $2 quickly.
However, sellers may drag the price back below the moving averages, risking a drop to the support line.
Importantly, ADA price has an all-time high of $3.1, attained on September 2, 2021. Therefore, the $2 psychological level is not unprecedented.
Still, it would require sustained momentum beyond recent 4-6% daily gains. Analysts are split as bullish forecasts cite whale accumulation and technical breakouts.
Remember that the crypto market is wild with swings, thus anything can happen in the short term.
