World Liberty Financial (WLF) has announced plans to distribute 8.4 million WLFI tokens to early holders of its USD1 stablecoins. The decentralized finance project backed by the Trump family disclosed this on X as part of its USD1 Points Program.
WLF launched the Points Program on select exchanges two months ago, with plans to drive up volume by rewarding stablecoin holders
USD1 Loyalty Program Drives $500 Million Growth for the Stablecoin
According to the WLFI announcement, the USD1 loyalty program has been beneficial as it contributed to the growth of the stablecoin supply. It claimed to have seen $500 million in growth in two months.
It said:
“The Loyalty platform put power in the hands of early users, who helped drive $500m of growth in the last two months through activities such as purchasing and using USD1 on partner exchanges.”
Data from Defillama shows that the USD1 supply has increased by 10.87% in the past 30 days, with the circulating supply now at $2.985 billion. Supply was around $2.4 billion at the end of August, confirming the $500 million growth.

The majority of the circulating supply is on the BNB Smart Chain (BSC), with a value of $2 billion. Ethereum also holds $713 million, while Solana, Tron, and Aptos share the remaining amount.
The reward tokens will be distributed through the centralized exchange partner based on points earned by users. Users earned points by using a USD 1 pair for trading on the exchanges and also having a USD1 balance. However, the project noted that the terms and conditions for getting the reward could vary across exchanges. Participating exchanges include KuCoin, LBank, Flipster, Gate.io, and MEXC.
Interestingly, WLF had also airdropped USD1 to wallets that participated in the presale of its WLFI token. The airdrop back in June saw each wallet get 47 USD1 tokens, with over 85,000 wallets likely to have gotten the funds, as this was the number that participated in the presale. Binance holds the majority of the USD1 supply as the exchange received a $2 billion investment from MGX through the stablecoin.
World Liberty Plans Buyback and Token Burn to Increase Value
Meanwhile, the recent reward comes amidst WLFI’s recent resurgence. The token has fallen by more than 50% since its launch, amid selloffs and market volatility.
However, it is up 23% in the past seven days and now trades at $0.15. This means the 8.4 million WLFI tokens to be distributed amount to approximately $1.27 million.
The resurgence in WLFI value is mostly due to the recent token burns and buybacks by the project. In September, the WLF burned 3.1 million WLFI tokens and also repurchased 3.8 million WLFI from the open market.
This followed the unanimous community vote to use 100% of its Treasury Liquidity Fees for Buyback and Burn. With a circulating supply of 24.5 billion out of a total of 100 billion, it is unclear how impactful the program would be in reducing the supply.
