XRP Price Sinks as Whales Accumulate Ahead of ETF Debut on Monday

XRP price extended its decline this week as whales increased spot accumulation and on-chain losses reached seven-month highs. XRP traded near $1.90 after touching an intraday low of $1.81, levels last seen in April. Traders watched the $1.75 support zone as whale inflows, realized losses, and Monday’s exchange-listed ETF debut shaped the market outlook.

Spot traders observed growing imbalance between retail selling and whale accumulation. Data shared on X showed large buyers dominating XRP spot order flow. Analysts highlighted the shift as the main counterforce to the broader downtrend.

Ali, a market analyst, reported that 1.80 billion XRP were acquired near $1.75, forming a heavy support cluster. He said this zone could act as the strongest demand area in the current decline. XRP hovered just above that level as volatility increased.

Glassnode data showed that market sentiment weakened as XRP’s Net Unrealized Profit/Loss (NUPL) moved from euphoria to denial, then into anxiety. More than 41.5% of holders were underwater. Analysts warned that such conditions historically preceded deeper corrections when investors panicked.

Whales Buy the Dip as XRP Price Realized Losses Spike Sharply

CVD data from whale traders showed steady accumulation even as price weakness intensified. One analyst wrote that big buyers dominated the spot market and continued absorbing sell pressure. He noted that average order sizes confirmed whale-level participants.

The take-spot CVD trend supported those observations and showed sustained inflows. This pattern created a visible divergence between price action and large-wallet behavior. Analysts said this reflected strategic positioning rather than speculative buying.

Glassnode added that realized losses surged sharply. The platform said the 30-day EMA of realized losses rose to $75 million daily. The metric reached its highest level since April. That spike reflected capitulation by traders who bought the mid-July rally.

XRP traded 50% below its multi-year high of $3.66. Profit-taking by large holders intensified the decline through October and early November. Whale wallets shifted from distribution to accumulation only after the price approached the $1.75 cluster.

TradingView data showed heavy selling in the week’s early sessions. XRP Price moved below key trendlines and closed the day under $2 for the first time since spring. Analysts said on-chain demand remained weak despite the buying from large wallets.

ETF Trading Begins Monday as Analysts Debate Market Impact

A new catalyst entered the discussion when analysts reported that Grayscale’s XRP ETF would begin trading Monday. Wise Advice, an X account focused on market alerts, wrote that the XRP and DOGE ETFs would list on the New York Stock Exchange on the same day.

Conor Kenny confirmed the development, saying that Grayscale Investments’ spot ETFs for XRP and DOGE would “begin trading Monday.” The update arrived as traders debated whether Wall Street demand could stabilize the ongoing drawdown.

Steph_iscrypto posted a more aggressive view, saying the listing marked a notable moment and arguing that “XRP to $5 seems fair.” Market analysts avoided adopting that view, noting macro weakness and persistent on-chain selling.

The ETF launch created expectations of renewed inflows, but analysts stressed that ETF listings alone did not reverse downtrends. Market structure still leaned bearish with XRP under major moving averages. Yet some traders saw the event as a potential sentiment boost.

Gert van Lagen shared a long-term monthly chart highlighting a double retest of the double-bottom breakout. His chart suggested price reached a structural support region that historically preceded large swings. He said the pattern remained valid as long as $1.75 held.

XRP Price Faces Heavy Support at $1.75 as Market Searches for Direction

The chart structure reflected pressure from repeated lower highs since July. Fibonacci extension levels signaled potential downside targets below $1.60 if the current support cracked. Traders monitored the 1.618 extension at $1.55 for the next reaction zone.

Long-term holders saw this area as a potential value zone. However, NUPL data showed rising anxiety among retail investors. Analysts warned that underwater wallets often increase sell pressure due to fear and emotional exits.

Whale accumulation softened that trend, but analysts said the market still lacked fresh demand. They noted that price recovery required more than ETF optimism or isolated whale buys. Broader liquidity and on-chain activity needed to stabilize.

Still, the $1.75 cluster remained the strongest defense zone on the chart. Reaction at that level could determine whether XRP risked a deeper retracement or attempted a short-term rebound.

As Monday’s ETF listing approached, traders prepared for heightened volatility. Analysts said the interaction between whale accumulation and retail selling would define the next move. XRP stayed fragile, yet buyers with large wallets continued absorbing supply.
