ZCash price traded near $1,100 on Sept. 11 after a sharp retreat from this week’s highs above $1,290. ZEC remains up more than 130% over the past month despite losing roughly 10%-14% during the latest 24-hour window. The correction follows one of the strongest large-cap crypto rallies of 2026.
Investor attention remains focused on whether the pullback represents routine profit-taking or a broader mean-reversion phase. Grayscale’s Zcash ETF has crossed $500 million in assets, while technical analysts continue tracking a long-term cup-and-handle breakout. However, both leverage and the scale of ZEC’s recent advance increase the risk of wider price swings.
Investors Watch for ZCash Price Moves Amid Strong Volatility
Over the past month, the ZCash price has surged by a massive 134% as per data from CoinGeckco. After a strong upside, there’s some profit-taking in ZEC, which is down 10% in the last 24 hours. However, investors are closely watching the volatility surrounding it.
On a 10-year timeframe chart, the ZCash price is showing a strong cup-and-handle breakout. Popular analyst Crypto Patel noted that following this breakout, ZEC could target the $2,200 level.

According to Patel, the breakout has a measured move pointing toward $2,200 or higher, with $650 identified as the key neckline level. The analyst said ZEC could either continue its price discovery without a major retracement or retest the neckline before beginning another leg higher.
Citing historical data, Patel noted that the ZEC price was trading between $850 and $1,560 on November 2, 2016. Nearly 10 years later, the cryptocurrency is trading around the $1,100–$1,220 zone.
ZCash Price Could See Mean Reversion
Another popular analyst, Ardi, who has been bullish on ZCash (ZEC) since the $400 price level, has warned that the latest rally could eventually face a mean reversion.
According to Ardi, ZEC is now showing an extreme deviation from its cycle mean, similar to levels ahead of the major rally. However, he noted that this does not necessarily mean the current rally will end immediately.
Ardi said the risk profile has changed as the ZCash price becomes increasingly extended. Thus, he predicts a potential ZEC price move back into the acceptance range.

Ardi also warned that late buyers who considered ZEC expensive at $400 but cheap at $1,200 could face increased risk if leverage builds at elevated levels. The analyst identified $1,040 and $890 as the next key support areas, where price could potentially return before another expansion.
Spot ZCash ETF Inflows Drive Rally
The recent ZCash price rally is supported by inflows into Grayscale’s newly launched spot ZCash ETF. Since the launch of Grayscale’s Zcash spot ETF, approximately 5.62 million ZEC have been traded through the new investment product.
The ETF’s trading volume increased from 229,000 shares on launch day to nearly 1.11 million shares on September 8. On the other hand, the total assets under management of the Grayscale ZCash ETF, have now crossed $500 million.
As said, the ZEC price is up 16% over the past week. The privacy coin is now trading below its 7-day moving average while remaining above its 30-day moving average, creating mixed short- and medium-term signals.
Market liquidity and buying interest have also been boosted by a Solana-based token distributing millions of dollars in ZEC rewards. Meanwhile, a sharp liquidation event triggered a short squeeze. It forced bearish leveraged positions to cover, thereby accelerating ZEC gains.
