Ripple founder Arthur Britto has reemerged after nearly 14 years of silence, posting cryptically on the social media platform X. On June 23, 2025, Britto shared a single emoji— a face without a mouth, prompting speculation among the crypto community.
The post marked his first public message since creating his X account in 2011. David Schwartz, Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer and fellow co-founder, confirmed that Britto’s account had not been hacked. Schwartz assured users that the post was genuine and not the result of a compromise.
Britto, the co-founder of the XRP Ledger, has been kept out of the spotlight for a long time. He shies away in interviews and has been virtually anonymous with no official photographs or appearances.
This surprise post immediately attracted the attention of XRP investors and fans. Numerous people saw the timing as a bullish indicator, and many became optimistic, triggered by such a sentiment.
Britto has also played a fundamental role in establishing NewCoin. This later metamorphosed into OpenCoin and Ripple Labs. His single expression in public is the subject of new speculations regarding what would happen next to Ripple.
Ripple Price Rebounds From Support, Eyes $2.50 Breakout
When writing, the XRP price trades at $2.18, showing a modest daily gain of 10%. The price action reflects a recent rebound after testing a key support level around the $2.00 mark. Technical indicators suggest that XRP might attempt a near-term recovery.
The Moving average convergence divergence (MACD) slightly bears a bearish inclination. Nonetheless, the histogram bars are reducing. This suggests a potential bullish crossover could occur if the momentum is maintained.

In addition, the Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) is 0.10 points and indicates that capital is flowing in. Such growth in purchasing pressure helps to sustain a bullish view in the short term.
A break above $2.50 would open the path to the next psychological resistance near $3.00. This level marks a significant price ceiling, and bulls have been rejected multiple times in previous attempts.
Conversely, failure to maintain the $2.00 support could trigger further downside. In such a scenario, Ripple might fall back to test lower liquidity zones below $2.00.
Ripple Price Faces Crucial Breakout or Breakdown
Egragg, a crypto analyst, highlights the transformative shift surrounding the XRP price. He emphasizes that this change is becoming the main focus for the asset. According to him, the $2.20 level represents a critical threshold. It’s a key price-cut point that could define XRP’s trajectory.
If Ripple fails to close a full daily candle above the key resistance, price action suggests a likely retest of the $2.08 and $2.04 levels. These zones act as crucial support, signaling market indecision before a possible breakout to the upside.
According to Egragg, several resistance levels need to be watched closely. These include $2.20, $2.30, $2.34, $2.48, and $2.65. Daily candle closures above these levels may confirm bullish momentum, signaling a strong possibility of an incoming rally.

Each successful close over these targets strengthens the likelihood of a sustained upward move in the market.
Nonetheless, it is vital to be cautious. Egragg is cautioning that Ripple cannot signal that it has closed above $2.04, $1.90, or $1.71 on a daily basis.
An intraday close below these lines would signify that the bears are getting control. This act might only make the asset move on a bearish route, ending fading bullish expectations.
