Will Cardano Price Recovery Target a Rally to $1.30?

Key Insights:

  • Cardano price up 3% for the day after a slight dip.
  • Wedge formation points to a possible breakout to $1.30.
  • Cardano Spot ETF odds Dip.

Cardano’s price has been on a bearish trend, dropping 1.2 % for the day after a minor recovery earlier on. Currently priced at $0.7414, ADA is nearing a major support level despite technical indicators suggesting it could be preparing for a potential breakout towards $1.30.

Per Coinmarketcap, ADA price has fluctuated recently, dropping as low as $0.6526 before showing signs of recovery. The falling wedge pattern observed in the price chart hints at weakening selling pressure, and analysts are closely watching for signs of a possible bullish reversal.

Cardano Price Falling Wedge Hints at Bullish Breakout

According to crypto analyst Ali Charts, the Cardano price has been trading within a descending channel throughout 2025. Resistance levels have been tested and rejected multiple times, but as of August, ADA has shown signs of bouncing near the channel’s lower boundary. This could indicate the beginning of a short-term recovery.

Per the crypto analysts, the higher lows and lower lows seen on the falling wedge pattern on the ADA price chart indicate that while sellers remain active, their strength is gradually fading. This is often seen as a precursor to a potential bullish breakout towards $0.84.

In addition, the Fibonacci retracement levels hint at possible price recovery despite the recent dip. The 0.786 Fibonacci level, located at $0.6526, is particularly important, as a price test at this level could trigger a reversal. Consequently, with ADA price trading at $0.74, it is positioned within the middle of the channel, breaking through resistance could pave the way for an eventual move toward $1.30 as predicted by Ali Charts.

Derivatives Data Signal Bearish Market Sentiment

Amid this bearish price trend, ADA’s long positions have seen a reduction in volume, dropping by 24.65%, with the total volume sitting at $1.37 billion. Concurrently, as per Coinglass, the open interest has decreased slightly by 0.02%, totaling $1.27 billion, signaling that traders are uncertain about the next major move.

In addition, the options volume for ADA has taken a significant hit, falling by 92.94% to just $6.59K, while options open interest has also decreased by 0.27%, standing at $374.92K. Moreover, accompanying this negative sentiment, flagged by Whale Alert, a whale has made a large transfer of 74 million ADA tokens, valued at over $54 million, which may be a sign of rising selling pressure.

However, despite these fluctuations in the derivatives market, the technical outlook for ADA remains positive. The price is testing key support and resistance levels, and a break above $0.80 could lead to a rally toward $1.00 or even $1.30.

Cardano ETF Odds Dip Amid Price Decline

However, the sentiment around ADA is also influenced by external factors, particularly the changing odds of a Cardano ETF approval. Last month, the probability of an ETF approval stood at 90%, but recent data shows the likelihood has fallen to 78% as per Polymarket data. This decline could add to the overall market uncertainty, affecting ADA’s short-term price movements.

Moreover, as noted by analysts, the $0.76 mark continues to be a significant resistance point, with ADA testing this level multiple times. If Cardano price manages to break through $0.80, it could confirm the beginning of a trend reversal, with the potential to reach the $1.00 to $1.30 range.

One analyst SSebi notes, “Getting back above $0.80 would confirm the trend reversal,” a key point that could signal a shift towards stronger upward movement.

At press time, ADA price is currently sitting at $0.74. However,  if it fails to hold above the $0.70 support. A further decline toward $0.6500–$0.6600 is possible.
