MicroStrategy Stock Jumps 2% in Pre-Market as Bitcoin Price Defends $112,000 Support

MicroStrategy stock, a NASDAQ-listed firm now rebranded as Strategy, jumped 2% pre-market as Bitcoin (BTC) held $112,000 as support.

The surge in Strategy stock (MSTR) follows recent BTC accumulation by the firm. Strategy Chairman Michael Saylor recently outlined how to outperform Nvidia.

MicroStrategy Stock Outlook Across Timeframes

According to Google Finance data, the MSTR stock price is currently valued at $334.3. MSTR’s daily price range is between $327.77 and $339, with a market cap of $2.52 billion.

Over the past 5 days, the value of MicroStrategy stock decreased by 0.46%. Moving on, the stock experienced a 4.49% decline over the past month, but has shown some consolidation.

During this time, prices fluctuated between $326.12 and $350.89. Analysts even raised concerns that the MSTR price could face more downtrends due to technical and fundamental risks.

They pointed out that the formation of a death cross pattern on the MSTR price chart threatened a potential upsurge. Historically, death cross patterns lead to a strong bearish breakdown as the near-term momentum has prevailed.

The MSTR stock price also formed a bearish flag pattern comprising a vertical line and consolidation. Furthermore, the MSTR price decoupled from the value of its reported BTC Yield.

Despite a recent pullback, the stock has surged 2% in pre-market trading and 13.18% year-to-date, reflecting strong long-term momentum.

BTC Finds Support after Strategy 850 BTC Buy

As of this writing, BTC is priced at $113,062, up slightly by 0.02% over the previous day. An infrastructure for AI agents, Hive Intelligence shared an analysis of the BTC price following Strategy’s latest Bitcoin purchase.

On September 22, Strategy Chairman Michael Saylor announced the firm purchased 850 BTC for $99.7 million.

This buy quickly pushed Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to 639,835 BTC, acquired for a combined $47.3 billion. The purchase was funded through sales of MSTR  and STRF shares.

Such purchases often signal confidence to investors, potentially driving short-term bullish sentiment.

According to Hive Intelligence, BTC has found a key support at the $112,000 level. This support suggests institutional confidence in defending the BTC price rally, especially given accumulation from Strategy.

Besides the support levels, the analysis provides insight into derivatives activity and continued institutional accumulation.

Specifically, derivatives markets show controlled activity post the 850 BTC purchase.

The spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) market also registered $887 million in weekly inflows, suggesting strong institutional interest.

Firms like Metaplanet also added more BTC to their balance sheet, following Strategy’s footsteps.

Can Saylor Outperform NVIDIA? Michael Saylor Reveals How

Meanwhile, Saylor has repeatedly stated that Strategy’s BTC accumulation model creates a unique value proposition for the firm.

In a recent interview, Saylor emphasized that Strategy is the world’s leading issuer of Bitcoin-backed bonds.

“Strategy has the most interesting, highest performing, most liquid performing securities,” Saylor added.

He explained that Strategy is volatile and oscillates 20 times faster than Treasury Bills and 8 times more than the S&P 500 Index.

According to Saylor, the firm added BTC as a reactor, making bonds compelling. However, Salor noted that selling bonds gives the firm a 70% to 80% spread, which goes to equity holders.

As such, the Strategy Chairman highlighted that the leverage in the bonds for Bitcoin maxis is extreme, with potential to double in 14 months.

He concluded that Strategy is like a big BTC transformer, which could lead the firm to outperform Nvidia, a tech giant known for its AI and GPU dominance.
