Ethereum fundamentals are once again strengthening as institutional activity and analyst confidence are spiking. Ethereum price has reached over $4,000, increasing by over 6% in 24 hours. Analysts believe this is the beginning of a long-term bullish cycle that could propel Ethereum to $8,000.
Institutional Accumulation is Driving Ethereum Price Higher
Large investors are accumulating Ethereum in large numbers. On-chain data shared by analyst Ted Pillows revealed that SharpLink Gaming had moved $78.3 million worth of ETH from FalconX this week. The transfer is a growing sign of institutional confidence, with major buyers using dips to build up their holdings.

Analyst Ted Pillows also noted that Richard Heart moved $105 million in ETH to Tornado Cash but still holds more than $500 million in Ethereum. These movements are portfolio management rather than market exits.
This move followed the same large-scale purchases from BitMine and other companies, confirming a rising trend in accumulation. Such transactions tend to precede bullish expansions, as the whales get an early position to make long-term gains.
Fundstrat’s Tom Lee reiterated his “supercycle” view, highlighting that Ethereum’s fundamentals now drive its price rather than trailing market sentiment. He said the demand for stablecoins and daily transactions is at an all-time high, which is an indicator of their increasing use in the real world.
Network Activity Strengthens Fundamental Strength
Ethereum on-chain data continues to show good growth. According to Token Terminal, the number of transactions is at its highest level in two years. This points to growing demand in the DeFi, staking, and institutional settlement layers.
The growth in network usage is a sign that the Ethereum ecosystem is maturing. Previous cycles have been led by speculation, but current growth is based on real financial adoption. Stablecoin transfers, NFT marketplace, and institutional staking lead the upward trend.

Despite high usage, contract deployments, representing new project experimentation, have slightly declined. According to Token Terminal, this means Ethereum Layer-1 is now targeting proven, high-value financial applications instead of early-stage or experimental projects. Analysts think the revival of innovation on the main chain could increase the total value locked (TVL) by up to 100x in the next cycle.
Technical Setup Points to $8,000 Target
Analyst Javon Marks identified a repeating bullish pattern in Ethereum’s long-term chart. Historically speaking, Ethereum tends to retest breakout levels before moving higher. Marks said that prices are once again showing a structure of a breakout and retest.

According to his analysis, Ethereum price may hit $8,000 if momentum continues. The chart resembled earlier stages that have preceded explosive rallies. Marks noted that market confidence tends to build up following such retests, which then usually result in strong rallies.
This is in line with the recent observation by John Bollinger, founder of the Bollinger Band, of a “W-bottom” pattern on Ethereum’s chart. The formation is often a major bullish reversal.
Market Performance Demonstrates New Confidence
Ethereum’s recent performance highlights strong investor optimism. The 24-hour trading volume has increased, surging by 121% up to $34 billion. Ethereum’s market cap has now surpassed $506 billion, solidifying its position as the second-largest cryptocurrency.

Ethereum price has increased by almost 5% this week and by more than 126% in the last six months. Such resilience reflects strong fundamentals despite market volatility.
Ethereum’s ability to remain above the $4,000 level while processing large transactions demonstrates market strength. Institutional inflows, strong network fundamentals, and bullish technical setups still fuel confidence.
If the trend continues, analysts anticipate Ethereum to reach new highs in the near future. The next significant milestone could be the $8,000 zone, with strong on-chain momentum.
