Ethereum price is back in focus as large investors take new long positions worth millions of dollars.
Support near $3,400 to $3,700 has stayed firm, and growing trading activity in November 2025 is giving traders hope that the price could move toward the $5,000 level soon.
Big Investors Bet on Next Ethereum Price Move
In a recent post on X, a major trader linked to President Trump opened a $195 million long position using 5x leverage.
The trade would be liquidated if the price drops to $2,841, suggesting a strong belief that Ethereum will rise instead.
There has been a lot of discussion since the update was tracked.
For instance, market watchers noted that the move indicates renewed interest from large investors, often referred to as “whales,” who appear to be anticipating a rally.

Meanwhile, the Ethereum price was trading around $3,508, slightly up by 0.35% in the last 24 hours.
Analysts say the price has found strong support between $3,400 and $3,700. This range has held for several weeks and has become a key area for traders.
According to the update, if the coin climbs above $3,700 again, it could test the $4,000 to $4,100 range next.
Furthermore, trading activity has grown in recent days. CoinMarketCap data shows that Ethereum’s daily trading volume rose more than 60%.
Likewise, Exchange-traded funds that track Ethereum have also seen steady inflows, bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars.
This increase in demand is being viewed as a sign that more investors are moving back into the market.
Fewer Coins on Exchanges as Demand Grows
In a separate update, recent on-chain data shows that fewer Ethereum coins are being withdrawn to exchanges.
This means fewer coins are available to sell, which can limit supply in the short term.
More specifically, at the same time, data from major centralized exchanges show higher spot-buying volume.
This balance between lower supply and steady demand is one reason many traders expect Ethereum price to stay strong.
At press time, Ethereum’s market capitalization was near $423.4 billion. Its total and circulating supply was around 120.69 million ETH.
The 24-hour trading volume reached roughly $40.1 billion, while the volume-to-market cap ratio stood at 9.5%.
These numbers indicate that trading activity remains robust and liquidity remains strong. Some market analysts say the current setup is similar to earlier phases of accumulation.
They point out that each time large holders reduce their exchange activity, the price often moves up in the following weeks.
While the next direction will depend on global market trends, many investors see Ethereum’s current price zone as a stable base.
Five-Year Trend Shows Steady Recovery
Ethereum price performance over the past five years shows both declines and strong rebounds. In 2020, the price rose 58.7%.

It gained another 8.02% in 2021 before falling 17.6% in 2022. The following years saw recovery, with gains of 13.1% in 2023 and 47.4% in 2024.
Nevertheless, these figures show that Ethereum has often bounced back after periods of weakness.
Meanwhile, quarterly data also shows growth over time. In late 2022, Ethereum closed the year at $1,196.
By the end of 2023, it had rose $2,282, and by the fourth quarter of 2024, it reached $3,334.
This consistent climb represents the improvement in confidence in the asset.
Analysts interpreting this pattern suggest that if the Ethereum price continues to build support and trading demand remains high, a move toward $5,000 would not be surprising.
