Bitcoin price fall continues with another 5% drop today, slipping under $90,000 for the first time since April 2025. While the crypto market sees yet another $1 billion liquidation today, the BTC chart flashes a warning of a 70% dump ahead. Investors are on edge and waiting for the selling pressure to ease.
Is Bitcoin Price Staring At 70% Crash Ahead?
Crypto market expert Crypto Patel has issued a warning after Bitcoin’s SuperTrend indicator flipped to a sell signal. Citing historical data, the analyst raised a red flag with a potential chance of a 70% crash ahead.
According to Patel, the last bearish flip in the SuperTrend indicator, back in early 2022, was followed by a 70% decline in Bitcoin. This raised concerns that a similar pattern could emerge. He pointed to repeating technical conditions, citing “the same rejection, same structure, same setup.” If this pattern repeats, Bitcoin may have the potential to revisit $32,000 once again.

On the other hand, crypto analyst Ali Martinez has made a similar observation. Martinez pointed out the formation of a Bitcoin death cross on technical charts. This represents a bearish sign where the 50-day moving average crosses below the 200-day moving average.
Martinez noted that over the past year, each death cross has coincided with a local bottom for Bitcoin. However, he cautioned that in 2022, the same pattern triggered the start of a full bear market. Thus, investors would be waiting on the sidelines to confirm the next directional move for Bitcoin price.

Bitcoin Price In Reset Zone As Analysts Cite Local Bottom
On-chain analytics firm Glassnode said Bitcoin price is showing early indications of stabilizing after recent volatility. According to the firm, momentum indicators have moved into oversold territory, while sell-side pressure is beginning to ease.
Glassnode noted that flows and overall on-chain activity have softened, pointing to reduced market stress. The firm added that Bitcoin now appears to be finding initial stability within the $94,000–$100,000 range. Furthermore, with the BTC percentage profit supply now declining, investors could refrain from further selling at a loss.

Other market experts also believe that a short-term bounce could happen soon. Popular crypto market expert Ted Pillows wrote:
Many traders seem to be waiting for a relief bounce to exit their underwater positions. A bounce is likely. Current setups suggest a possible move back toward the $98–108k range. But this needs to happen soon, otherwise the chances are much lower this bounce will occur.
Crypto analyst CryptosRus said the latest market drawdown reflects a typical “reset phase” rather than the end of the cycle. According to the analyst, the 30-day simple moving average (SMA-30) is rolling over in a manner consistent with past reset periods. This phase is characterized by prolonged pain, a lack of enthusiasm, and declining leverage, preceding a U-shaped recovery.

The analyst added that Bitcoin is currently trading in the −14% to −16% range, similar to earlier cycle reset zones rather than blow-off tops. These conditions, he said, often create an environment where long-term buyers “quietly reload.”
Bitcoin ETF Sell-off Eases
Although the sell-off across US Bitcoin ETF issuers continued for the fourth consecutive trading session on Monday, it appears to be easing. On November 17, the net outflows stood at $220 million, with BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) leading at $145 million outflows. Researchers at Glassnode wrote:
In the spot market, trading volumes edged lower, and ETF outflows moderated significantly, suggesting a shift from aggressive selling to a more measured repositioning phase.
The heavy selling pressure has put investors in a state of limbo, leading to major indecision. Moreover, with the crypto market showing a significant decoupling from US equities and Gold, investors will be waiting for clear indicators to guide further action.
